Puro.earth Expands Beyond Carbon Removal With Agricultural Registry

Puro.earth has launched an Environmental Attributes Registry, expanding its infrastructure beyond engineered carbon removal with an initial focus on agricultural carbon intensity. The registry will record verified field-level data, including origin, ownership, transfer history and retirement status, to improve traceability and reduce double-counting risks across agricultural supply chains. Its initial applications include corporate supply-chain claims, clean-fuel verification, voluntary carbon credits and environmental co-benefits. Additional environmental attribute categories are planned for 2027, while the initiative’s governance and methodology approval processes remain under development.
