In recognition of the ethos of responsible investing, Welhunt have established responsible investment mechanisms to support and assist with the growth of more eco-friendly business models through funding and enabling Welhunt to earn returns on such investments, forming a virtuous circle. Supporting Sustainable Financial Products:

In 2022, Welhunt participated in the sustainable finance initiatives of Taipei Fubon Bank and invested in its Green Deposit as a funding pool for its issuance of Sustainability Linked Loans (SLL), thereby creating a sustainable financial ecosystem with important stakeholders.

Investment in ESG-Focused Private Equity Funds (PE Fund):

In 2023, Welhunt invested in an ESG-oriented PE fund with a focus on four main themes: recycling, sustainable consumption, new materials and cybersecurity. In 2024, Welhunt further committed to focusing its investments on a PE fund managed by its Singapore strategic partner, StateSquare Capital, which specializes in equity investments in mid-market companies in the Asia-Pacific region. Leveraging StateSquare Capital‘s ability to appropriately assess the ESG commitments and performance of the invested companies, Welhunt can ensure that its funds not only generate profits but also create additional ESG value.

Direct Equity Investments:

Responding to stakeholder recommendations, we interacted with industry players focused on the circular economy and green energy to discuss any form of cooperation, including direct equity investment or strategic partners. These include solid fuel rods, pyrolysis, hydrogenic energy, desalination, solar energy, and smart logistics.
In order to focus our resources on specific responsible investment fields and leverage our core competency and peripheral resources, Welhunt has preliminarily narrowed down its specific ESG investment areas and set up ESG investment selection mechanisms and processes as the basis for future investment evaluations.
