Microsoft, Aker Solutions Advance Global CCS Projects

Aker Solutions and Microsoft have agreed to collaborate on global carbon capture and storage and carbon dioxide removal projects, aiming to improve project maturity, bankability and delivery. Aker Solutions will contribute techno-economic advisory, engineering, procurement, construction and execution capabilities, while Microsoft will provide expertise in digital technology, data, artificial intelligence, monitoring, reporting and verification, and carbon markets. The companies plan to support selected projects from early feasibility studies through final investment decisions and operations. Their work will involve developers, emitters, transport and storage providers, governments and stakeholders, including opportunities linked to CDR credits.
