Gold Standard and Verra Launch Tool to Support Article 6.2 Reporting
Gold Standard and Verra have jointly launched a reporting tool to help host countries account for corresponding adjustments for carbon credits authorized under Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement. The tool consolidates authorized credits issued by both standards into a single record and automatically prepares the required summary table based on each country’s Article 6 accounting approach. The information is intended to support submissions accompanying countries’ 2026 Biennial Transparency Reports. Corresponding adjustments prevent the same emission reduction from being counted by both the host country and another user, including an acquiring country or an airline under CORSIA. By replacing the need to reconcile two separate systems, the tool aims to improve reporting efficiency, reduce errors, support consistency and strengthen confidence in authorized carbon credits.
